Publications Designing Jobs description
The various publications designing positions include positions like publications designer, publications design manager, publications designing assistant, senior designer, publications design executive and publications design specialist. A publications designing professional is primarily responsible for designing the cover, internal and external designs in a publication. Specific duties of a publications designing position include preparing designs for various components like cover page, introduction, table of contents, bibliography and others; coordinating with print department; getting designs approved from the publisher; getting specimens and prints prepared in support of designs; keeping updated with various designing tools; and performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor. A publications designing professional typically reports to the publications design manager.A publications designing professional should have a bachelor's degree in designing. An additional qualification in the area may be advantageous. Excellent creative ability is essential for a publications designing role.
