Sales Jobs description

The various sales job openings in the area of publishing include positions like sales executive, account executive, sales manager, sales agent, account manager, sales representative and sales consultant. The primary responsibility of a sales professional in the area of publishing is to meet and exceed sales quota assigned to him/her for assigned territories. A sales professional is typically responsible for contacting distributors and retailers, pushing new publications into the retail chain, negotiating rates for publications being sold, ensuring replenishment of stocks on time, staying in touch with existing retailers and performing other tasks as required. A sales executive typically reports to a sales manager.

A sales professional should have an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree. Prior experience in selling for a relevant product may be advantageous. Excellent customer service skills are a key trait for any selling job.
