Associate Publisher Jobs description
An associate publisher is responsible for assisting the publisher in successful administration of various publications and other resources. Specific duties of an associate publisher include managing teams of writers and editors, printing department, logistics personnel and others; providing advice on various functional and administrative matters; participating in strategic decision making on various issues regarding firm's publications; managing media and distributor relations; participating in human resource management; allocating resources to various departments; keeping updated on new publications from competitors and new trends in the industry; handling administrative issues in the house; and performing other tasks as required by the publisher. An associate publisher typically reports to the vice president.An associate publisher should have an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a relevant area. Strong track record in the area of publishing is essential for an associate publisher role. Strong ability to ability to lead and motivate others is essential.
