Publications Coordinator Jobs description

A publications coordinator is responsible for handling all the administrative work in a publishing department including coordinating with other departments in the firm. Specific duties of a publications coordinator position include providing administrative support in coordinating or synchronizing the efforts of publishing department with others; preparing administrative reports on behalf of the department; receiving incoming calls; making calls to clients and suppliers; performing reception duties in absence of the receptionist; attending training sessions and meetings; preparing minutes of meetings and distributing to the concerned people and performing other tasks assigned by the publications manager. A publications coordinator typically reports to a publications manager.

A publications coordinator should have an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Excellent academic credentials are advantageous. Prior experience working as a publications coordinator may be advantageous. Some employers may refer to a publications coordinator position as a publications assistant position.
