Publications Supervisor Jobs description
A publications supervisor is responsible for supervising and leading one or more publications or publishing teams. Specific duties of a publications supervisor include meeting productivity goals for the team of publishing representatives, editors, writers and others; ensuring that cordial relations are maintained with vendors, suppliers, freelance writers, and other people in the industry; arranging for training materials, raw materials and other resources for production or publishing team; assisting the publishing manager with the administration of publications; staying abreast on publications from competitor publishing houses; participating in recruitment and training of personnel for the department and performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor. A publications supervisor typically reports to a publications director.A publications supervisor should have an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in mass communications or journalism. Excellent academic credentials are essential for a publications supervisor role. Several years of experience in the area of publications management is essential.
