Publications Officer Jobs description
A publishing officer is responsible for performing the various functional and/or support activities in the department. A publishing officer is typically responsible for providing specific advice in the area; meeting with clients; assisting clients and managers with various tasks; managing relationships with key partners in the publishing department; handling escalated incoming inquiries; working on special projects; maintaining relationships with clients in the area of publishing; negotiating deals on behalf of the organization; assisting in production of various administrative reports; coordinating with insiders as well as outsiders; keeping updated in the area of publishing and performing other tasks assigned by publishing manager. A publishing officer typically reports to a publishing manager.A publishing officer should have an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in mass communications, journalism or other relevant fields. Strong knowledge in the field of publishing is essential. Prior experience working as a publishing officer may be advantageous.
