Profile

This position will perform layout, design and production activities for inclusion in various marketing collaterals (e.g., product brochures, merchandising displays, presentations, digital platforms etc.). Responsibilities include designing, developing and producing creative graphics, commercial art and technical illustrative materials utilizing industry recognized software best suited to produce the desired visual effects in conformance with specified quality and visual standards, and recommending appropriate methods to convey the desired effect. The designer will have an aptitude for problem solving as part of the creative process and relevant communications skills to convey ideas both visually and verbally.Responsibilities:Develops concepts and layouts for trade and tribute advertisements, brochures, direct mail, logos, social media, digital, web, announcements, signage and invitations to special events. Ensures quality standards and accuracy consistent with corporate visual guidelines and identity.Determines the technique, medium and style to be used that best achieves the desired effect within the project specification parameters. Determines size and arrangement of illustrative design and copy, utilizing knowledge of graphic arts principles, available space and medium and aesthetic requirements. Works with vendors to obtain materials and supplies required.Manages production from design/concept to product delivery.Maintains an organized graphic filing retrieval and archiving system for storage of hard copy and desktop publishing projects for future use.Keeps abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the creative arena.Maintains a proactive commitment to established bank programs, such as Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Affirmative Action.Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).Completes all special projects as requested.Skills and Knowledge:Experience in desktop publishing, graphic arts. advertising and/or marketing design.Experience in both Macintosh and PC platforms with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office software.Under general supervision, performs a variety of support tasks in the planning, layout and presentation of marketing collaterals where graphics applications require a creative graphics treatment.Experienced user of a variety of Mac and PC-based graphics presentation techniques and applications.Works from general guidelines using considerable creative judgment and problem solving abilities regarding composition, media selection and the like.May provide technical and creative guidance to other designers.Basic Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years' experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Mac or PC), particularly Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Knowledge of UX, web, video and Digital Asset Management preferred.Minimum of 5 years' experience working on and overseeing projects from conception to delivery. Liaising with design teams and/or marketing, sales and product partners ensuring deadlines are met. Overseeing junior and mid-level graphic designers. Adhering to and/or creating brand guidelines.Minimum of 5 years' experience in senior or graphic designer role with multiple examples of completed design projects. Strong and proven aesthetic skills. Track record of meeting deadlines and working with teams on small to large projects.*Represents basic qualifications for the position.
