Job Description:
As the Social Media Manager, Digital Marketing for Call of Duty, you will be the driving force behind the brand strategy,1:1 communications, creative development, and execution of content and
consumer interactions in the social space. The ideal candidate will be a clear, confident communicator with deep social media and digital experience at an agency and/or experience on the client side with a demonstrated 'data-driven' focus. 
The position requires experience managing external agencies, interacting with consumers, production teams, and partner studios through strategy, design, and execution. This position is the conduit between consumer marketing, studios, global offices, agencies, internal stakeholders and most importantly our community/fans. The person in this role will have a thought leadership position inside the building as it relates to our core community and approach to social engagement.
The ideal candidate will be passionate in the gaming space, have a deep understanding of and passion for Call of Duty, and be a proactive self-starter who is constantly looking to push the envelope with innovative and fresh ideas in social, as well as a multi-tasker who can keep multiple campaigns moving through production at a time.
This is a contracted position based in our office in Santa Monica office.
This position would be employed by an external agency (Volt), working onsite with Activision Publishing
 
Responsibilities:
Lead social media strategy, development and execution for all Call of Duty title launches across various social platforms including, but not limited to; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, etc.
Listen and respond to consumers on our owned channels on a daily basis.
Drive social media reporting, insights and delivery through the use of key social, analytic and CMS packages including Netbase, Spredfast, Tubular. Utilize learnings to inform and support the creative approach and to drive KPI's across platforms and campaigns.
Oversee the global 1:1 social editorial calendar using Opal, driving key stakeholder alignment with business unit, studios and senior management.
Collaborate with social media teams internationally, assuring they are aligned with global plans, and are executing local campaigns on strategy at the appropriate times
Work effectively with internal cross functional teams including Consumer Marketing, Events, Partnerships, and Product teams to drive 360 campaigns
Work with external brand partners, developing and executing co branded campaigns
Requirements:
7 years experience in social media - agency (or client-side equivalent) as a Social Strategist or Digital Marketer, including experience strategizing, producing and executing complex social campaigns
Experience collaborating within a large organization, driving creative work with multiple departments
Production experience working on video shoots for social content as well as long form video for digital.
Passion for gaming, music, advertising and all things tech.
Excellent verbal, organizational, programming language and technology skills
Experience working with 3rd Party agencies/partners
Appetite for all things digital, and social -- up on the latest platforms and technologies and desire to identify opportunities for strategic brand involvement.
Understanding of brand strategy and ability to write strategic marketing briefs and persuasive POVs.
Working knowledge of social platforms and associated analytics programs and tools like – Opal, Netbase, Spredfast, Tubular, Facebook and Instagram native analytics tools, etc.
Ability to effectively interact with internal/external stakeholders and all levels of management.
