Overview Are you the kind of person that notices mistakes in menus and signs? Does inconsistent line spacing drive you a little mad? Do you believe in the importance of how a message looks as much as what that message says? Do you like being challenged and working with new and different teams to make the best looking documents? Are you an MS Office wizard who knows how to handle printers when they bleat PC Load Letter and do you like to dabble in creating graphics using Adobe Creative Suite applications?
If so, apply to join **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s Proposal Center as a TS/SCI-cleared Desktop Publisher.
Our proposal professionals work on business development opportunities to support some of the largest U.S. Federal agencies. You will work with solution architects, technical experts, graphic designers, and writers to build winning proposal responses. Our desktop publishers contribute significantly to the style of our documents (while remaining compliant with proposal instructions), scheduling, and resource planning. You will work closely with the proposal manager and coordinator on the proposal production plan and schedule, order supplies, pre-stage essential materials, and assist with delivery planning. On large proposal teams, you will lead and mentor junior desktop publishers to ensure a consistent and compliant appearance across all volumes and documents. You will also:

  • Review RFP solicitation document and delivery requirements
  • Provide complete Production support (i.e., printing, binding, and packaging of hardcopies and electronic media)
  • Ensure correct version control, file naming, and accesses
  • Provide desktop application support (e.g., file conversions, scanning, OCR, graphics importing, and document breakout/assembly)
  • Assist the Contracts department with file size mitigation issues and meeting application version requirements
  • Support multiple proposals as necessary
  • Strive to continuously improve the quality of your work as well as our internal processes to contribute to the overall success of the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Proposal Center. Stay current with industry best practices and share with your coworkers to help improve everyone's skills
  • Provide additional classified material support: Assist with document portion marking, properly securing documents, the disposal of secure materials, and assist our Security department with the wrapping and marking of secure deliverables.

Qualifications REQUIRED:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus at least eight years of direct experience in a proposal production environment.
  • Expert level proficiency with the MS Office suite (especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Expert level knowledge of proposal documentation, processes, and workflow
  • Working knowledge on the use of large production printers (Ricoh, Canon, Xerox) and office equipment
  • Working knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite applications (especially Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Knowledge of business development processes (especially the proposal cycle phase)
  • TS/SCI active clearance

  • MS SharePoint experience preferred
  • Shipley Associates training on proposal development
  • Proposal graphics development experience
  • Experience with content management systems (e.g., SharePoint)
