Job Ad Responsibilities
• Assisting two editorial assistants and their respective editors with various day-to-day administrative tasks
• Submitting published titles on the literature list for upcoming awards and prizes
• Managing multiple book orders and payments and liaising with internal staff
• Writing jacket cover copy and other marketing material to be displayed on the OUP website
• Researching and proposing cover image possibilities
• Completing various other research projects and administrative tasks as assigned in an efficient and detailed manner

Job Ad Requirements
• Excellent communication and research skills, as well as an ability to work independently on a deadline
• Candidate should be highly organized, attentive to detail, and capable of juggling multiple assignments at once
• Applicant should possess a genuine interest in book publishing and editorial careers in academic publishing
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
• Ability to commute to our New York City office for the duration of the position
