Job Requisition ID: 9741Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, one of the world's leading publishers, is seeking a Publicity Associate for cookbooks and lifestyle with at least 1-2 years of book and/or food-related publicity experience to join our dynamic and collaborative publicity team. The person in this position will assist the Senior Publicity Manager on high profile campaigns as well as strategize, develop and execute campaigns for his or her own assigned lifestyle and culinary titles -- write press releases and creative pitch letters; book national and local media; arrange author tours, book signings, and virtual events; participate in launch, marketing and other brainstorming meetings. Headliners on our culinary list include Mark Bittman, Dorie Greenspan, and Michael Solomonov as well as lifestyle authors including Melissa Hartwig of The Whole30 and The Property Brothers. We're looking for someone with strong media contacts, a passionate interest in food, health and popular culture.
