The Acquisitions Editor for Wiley's Business publishing program will be responsible for actively acquiring and managing titles consistent with project budgets and on schedule. The ideal candidate will identify and acquire new thought leaders in business, collaborate with internal and external global customers, identify opportunities for new business development, andmaintain and strengthen author relationships. We are looking for a candidate with proven experience acquiring authors or content, and a track record of achieving targets.
Additionally, the successful candidate will have:
* Three to five years of experience acquiring trade books
* In-depth knowledge of the market and industry
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills
* The ability to work collaboratively
* A strategic, results-oriented focus to drive the business forward
* Focus on maintaining a strong client/customer relationship
