Job Description Position Summary The Editorial Project Manager is the primary contact for content writers and deliverables. Candidate is regarded by the client as a trusted advisor and\/or the expert for the creative team. The Editorial Project Manager leads the day-to-day management of writer requirements. The Editorial Project Manager will create and manage style guides for the writers and help to ensure that deliverables accurately reflect the current client style\/formats. The Editorial Project Manager will work with the writers to answer individual writing queries, expand current writers into new categories, and train new writers in all software applications. The ideal candidate will be comfortable dealing with chief marketing officers, demanding clients, writers, seasoned editors, and a constant and heavy workflow. Responsibilities Act as primary point-of-contact for writers and editors. Partner with Account Management to assess client needs, develop strategy and coordinate initiative rollouts while helping to manage client expectations. Lead day-to-day management of style guidance and editorial content. Trains writers and editors on RRD\u2019s project management and invoicing tool and\/or proprietary client applications. Plan, coordinate and direct writers to ensure deliverables are executed accurately. Provide writers with appropriate insight into client\u2019s strategic business and branding initiatives. Serve as point of escalation for client concerns and demonstrate a clear understanding of when escalation is appropriate. Master and maintain brand standards, direction, and strategy. Master and maintain vast knowledge of client\u2019s business, competition, and latest industry trends. Provide point of view on best practices and solutions across functions. Attend and set relevant client meetings, bringing in appropriate resources as needed. Ensure all deliverable deadlines are met for all individuals and parts involved in the process. Responsible for early detection and prevention of issues. Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned. Required Skills Bachelor\u2019s degree in a related field and 8 years of experience in marketing and\/or advertising, with a focus on Visual Merchandising and\/or brand management, project management or comparable experience with progressively expanding responsibilities. Background in the retail services industry preferred, and\/or background in advertising\/design agencies. Well-rounded knowledge of print production, brand development, strategic planning and the design industry. Must be proactive, collaborative, driven and seek excellence in execution of tasks.\u00a0 Complete understanding of the \u201cBig Picture\u201d which allows the individual to make good sound business decisions. Strong project management skills, organizational skills and time-management skills. Proven track record with strong and effective customer relationships and solution delivery. Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal skills; experience and ability to work with cross-functional teams, internally and client-side. Ability to anticipate needs on behalf of the customer, not only to serve the customer but increase volume and profitability. Knowledge of administrative software, including Microsoft Access; basic working knowledge of design or development skills\/software (Adobe Creative Suite, including In Design and Photoshop, etc.) Ability to problem solve, analyze potential solutions and use good sound judgment to make decisions. Strong attention to detail is required. Ability to create and work with cross-functional and\/or distributed \u201cvirtual\u201d teams. Strong commitment to ensuring quality and exceeding customer satisfaction expectations. Must have the ability to work independently.
