Circulation\/Sales Development ManagerDepartment: Circulation
Reports To: Circulation Director
Schedule - Salaried position that normally works regular business hours. Must be available to work irregular and weekend hours as needed.
Overview Of Job Responsibilities: Responsible for executing sales and Marketing strategies, customer acquisition and retention programs for Home delivery of all Skagit Publishing publications and the e-editions by developing and maintaining a motivated staff of district managers and independent contractors who provide superior service to subscribers. Responsible for on-time, efficient and safe distribution of newspapers. Supervision of district managers and customer service staff.
Minimum Qualifications: Requires 3 years experience in newspaper circulation or sales management and supervision. Valid driver's license. Proficiency with DTI system.
Preferred Qualifications: Marketing and sales experience or degree.

Essential functions for Skagit Publishing. Supervisor: A culture of collaboration and empowerment is maintained. Employees are given prompt and useful training, coaching, and recognition. Employees know what is expected of them. Issues affecting work performance are addressed and resolved. Two-way communication occurs by listening and by providing useful information. Company policies are followed and enforced Supervisor is familiar with and remains consistent with the Employee Handbook. Accident reports, timecards, performance reviews, etc. are completed on time. The supervisor sets an example for employees to follow. Procedures are developed and standardized to improve efficiency. Coordination with other departments, publications, offices and buildings creates a smooth work flow.
Additional Job Functions: Meet regularly with the staff.
Work Environment:\u00a0Most work is performed in an office setting. May require extended sitting and standing. Some work in the field with employees, contractors, and for promotions. Some lifting of bundles and delivery of newspapers as needed.
