Summary The District Sales Manager is a member of the Knowledge and Learning Leadership Team. In collaboration with colleagues across the Knowledge and Learning Group, the District Sales Manager contributes to industry-leading performance in revenue growth, talent development, and digital sales expertise. The District Sales Manager leads a team of field-based Account Managers responsible for strategic selling, accelerating digital solution sales, digital learning efficacy, customer engagement, market development, and sustainable digital revenue growth. Use of data analytics for territory management is a foundational requirement.u00a0The territory covered in this role will include:u00a0 CO, NM, WY, UT, TX. Job Duties Strategic Selling: Engages directly with customers to teach for differentiation and tailor Wileyu2019s resources to achieve and surpass revenue targets. Champions Wileyu2019s Strategic Selling techniques, including the Blue Sheet Model; wins interest with insight, Identifies pain, locks in value and tailors solutions, establishes control, and yields industry-leading results. Digital Expertise: Models digital solution selling, with expert capability in online and mobile learning environments. Mastery of WileyPlus, WileyPLUS Next Gen, WP Orion, WP Learning Space, and all LMS integrated solutions. Conducts new Account Manager training sessions on digital products at the District and Territory level, modelling the talk-path for solution selling with Wileyu2019s digital offer. Leadership: Delivers vision and strategy with clear expectations, consistency, and executable workflows. Champions new initiatives and shares positive results and energy across the functional areas of the business. Solves problems with an innovative spirit, and regularly demonstrates skills surrounding Sales Innovation. Talent Development and Accountability: Leads successful talent acquisition and development programs; fosters a coaching culture that attracts and retains top talent. Holds Account Managers to Wileyu2019s performance accountability standards, including daily planning and customer engagement guidelines.u00a0 Data Analysis: Enables data-driven decision frameworks and data-modelling to set priorities, structure daily plans, target revenue opportunities, and expertly maximize the revenue capture timeline. Communication: Demonstrates expert written and verbal business communication skills. Highly proficient in using technology to host conference calls and demonstrate Wileyu2019s learning solution platforms. Orchestrates and encourages group discussions and expertly manages large audiences in sales and training environments Revenue and Market-Share Growth: Generates industry-leading digital revenue and market-share growth, as measured by dollar-per-student ratios at the District and Territory level. Accountable for sales targets. Operational Excellence: Manages operations with precision while continuously improving operational efficiencies and the customer experience. Job Requirements Must live in Texas in theu00a0Houston, Dallas, San Antonio or Austin area. BA, BBA, or BS degree Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in a global organization Digital solutions expert. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills; capable of influencing broadly across departments and organizations. Powerful and demonstrated insight selling techniques. Mature coaching skills. Expert working knowledge of online learning platforms, mobile technology, presentation software, and SFDC. Continuous learner; innovator; motivated problem-solver; strategic planner; transparent communicator. Dynamic leadership techniques that inspire action, urgency, and loyalty.
