Provide onsite technical and functional administrative and publication-related support to the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4, Pentagon, Washington, DC.
While strengthening Army logistics and sustainment capabilities to meet current and emergent challenges, the Army G-4 also conducts detailed planning in anticipation of having to support greatly increasing requirements for Joint Warfighters. It is restoring and sustaining readiness, right-sizing inventories, optimizing Army pre-positioned stocks, delivering fully-integrated management information systems linking the institutional Army with the operational Army, and maintaining the capability to support expeditionary Forces in a complex and uncertain global environment in an era of diminishing resources.
Our Logistics Lifecycle Analytics Business Line is seeking a highly experienced Publications Management Specialist to provide onsite administrative and publication-centric support for the Army G-4 staff. The selected candidate will work normal business hours, Monday through Friday, at the Pentagon.
Review, design, coordinate, and prepare all G-4 publications for publishing, including forms, organizational charts, office symbols, Index of Command Publications and a variety of local administrative publications.
Ensure all G-4 publications comply with policy guidance articulated in applicable source documents, including, among others, Army Regulation 25-30 (Army Publishing Program) and DA Pam 25-40(Army Publishing Program Procedures)
Prepare G-4 publications for electronic publishing and other methods and publish the agencyâ€™s Distribution Formula Lists.
Schedule and conduct face-to-face meetings with G-4 directorate action officers to explain changes and make recommendations in accordance with appropriate guidelines and regulations and local and higher headquarter guidance.
Collaborate with G-4 writers, editors, and proponent administrative staff from requesting activities to finalize a variety of publications.
Research and advise G-4 directorate leadership and action officers on authentication procedures, references, distribution, and publishing policy.
Initiate and maintain contact with G-4 directorate POCs and actions officers for the purpose of locating, reviewing, and correcting existing or potential problems on publications.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or technical field and two to four years of experience or equivalent OR 7 yearsâ€™ experience in technical program planning and implementation, contract interpretation, budget development and administration of government programs
Must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of operational users, technical developers and government program managers.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have a current government Secret Clearance
