The Opportunity:  Sr. Technical Production Specialist

This position reports to the Manager of Technical Services in Digital Innovation & Content Management, IT. The Sr. Technical Services position is a key member of the Content Management Systems Production Services team. You will provide customer service for all digital and print related production systems/applications. With CORE – Solutions being your most important customer, you will work closely supporting all business teams during digital and print projects. You will play a key role in supporting the business by troubleshooting and resolving issues, creating and managing production system/application credentials, and configuring and testing production systems/applications. The ideal candidate should have a background in digital and print production. This role is located in Boston, Massachusetts or Orlando, Florida.

Responsibilities

Creates and manages user credentials for production systems/applications

Configures production systems/applications

Creates Test Cases for and tests production systems/applications and upgrades

Analyzes and resolves production system/application, user access, configuration, and file issues/errors using a ticket tracking system

Contributes to the further development of the Production Services’ systems by detailing functional problems and outlining future enhancements. Also contributes to the maintenance and improvement of the department SharePoint sites

Communicates with stakeholders during production projects to build good working relationships

Completes other tasks pertaining to divisional project requests and special projects as assigned by the Manager of Technical Services and Leads

Skills and Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal & written), including the ability to articulate complex processes and concepts to non-experts

Ability to work effectively as a member of a cross-divisional team or as an individual

Possesses strong troubleshooting skills

Detail-oriented, analytical, and accurate

Technical knowledge and experience working with Adobe Products: InDesign, InCopy, and Acrobat

Technical knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Proficiency with Web browsers

Experience with both Mac and PC platforms

Knowledge of general functionality of database systems such as SharePoint 2010 a plus

Knowledge of Inkling’s Habitat, Alfresco’s Digital Business Platform, and any Enterprise Content Management applications a plus

Knowledge of WoodWing’s Smart Connection a plus

Knowledge of Java scripting and apple scripting a plus

Knowledge of SpiraTeam, WebEx, and Box a plus

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, with a minimum of 5 years full-time experience in digital and print publishing

Physical Requirements:

Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing)

The person in this position needs to move about inside office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer

Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings
