We\u2019re looking for qualitative research professionals to support our Wiley Workplace Learning Solutions team (division of John Wiley & Sons) as we create products and services that help people become more effective in the workplace and achieve career success. As a member of the Consumer Insights team, you\u2019ll be at the center of every product, program, and service that Wiley provides by contributing to our intensive (and very popular!) beta testing and feedback process. Responsibilities: The Consumer Insights Associate will execute Consumer Insights research initiatives for products, platforms and programs, to ensure that all new releases meet our high standards of usability and marketability. With oversight from the Associate Director, the CI Associate plans, coordinates and executes market research projects. The primary focus of this position will be qualitative research. This position will: Develop research requirements in collaboration with Brand, Product Development, and Education teams. Execute consumer insights initiatives related to product development, product management, brand marketing, and educational and support services. Conduct and use interviews and observation to acquire data; build and maintain a database of research participants; record, track and report on project progress; make recommendations in light of research results. Define timeline and scope of projects in conjunction with senior team members and other stakeholders; manage research initiatives to ensure timely delivery. Create a variety of custom surveys using best practices of survey-question design and survey technology. Perform initial analysis to compare results with benchmarks. Requirements Bachelor\u2019s degree in Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, English, Statistics, or similar 3 or more years work experience, preferably with product development or market research Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Exceptional listening skills and the ability to record comments in highly detailed notes Ability to synthesize large amount of information and spot trends and patterns Intellectual curiosity & objectivity; does not seek to influence or promote own point of view Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills and attention to detail Manages multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines Builds productive relationships with partners and clients Compensation & Benefits Competitive Base Salary Wiley provides Incentive Plans to reinforce and sustain a culture devoted to excellent performance; to emphasize performance against specific objectives at the corporate, business, product line and individual levels; and to reward significant contributions that further the success of our business objectives.
