Have excellent time management and prioritization skills? If so, we’re looking for an Editorial Assistant in our Hoboken office to support the team’s ability to deliver superior courseware product experiences and ultimately drive revenue across the list. You’ll help facilitate the publishing process from start to finish-communicating with authors and contributors by email and phone, scheduling and participating in team meetings and working closely with other departments, such as Production, Product Design and Development, Marketing, and generally serving as your team’s first point of contact across the business. You’ll also ensure information in Wiley’s systems is accurate and up-to-date, manage a range of administrative tasks from sending and tracking contracts and facilitating the cover design and copywriting process. Most importantly, you will help provide a positive experience for our authors from signature of contract through to publication by helping ensure efficient workflows in-house and providing excellent customer service. Representing Wiley, you’ll have the opportunity to attend conferences each year where you’ll manage our booth and help build relationships with our customers face-to-face. Requirements:Prior experience in a support role, preferably in a related industryDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, able to shift focus quicklyStrong attention to detail, especially for entering, updating, and maintaining accurate data in our systemsPolished communication skills, ability to build relationships and credibility quicklyCreative problem solverAbility to do some travelingAt least a Bachelor’s degree Editorial Project Development and Support Work with editor to manage the review process. Work closely with editor to establish specifications for reviews on each project. Using established specifications and reviewed profile, implement the review process. Assist in composing review questions, commission reviewers, follow-up and process payment for services. Work with editor to analyze results of reviews.  Assist in preparation of forms. Run financial simulations. Coordinate permissions with authors.  Sales/Marketing Support Provide marketing department with up-to-date reports detailing current and prior year copyright titles and information. Keep marketing and sales informed of product and information on future titles.  General Administrative SupportProvide administrative support to the department. Handle important communications, often with little or no supervision. Communicate with authors, reviewers, vendors, freelancers to support editor’s work. Ensure efficient and continued flow of work in editor’s absence from the office. Maintain records, and budgets for the editorial program.
