This is an Intermittent position Prepares and coordinates written and graphical elements of sales opportunity response documents such as proposals, qualifications and presentations.\u00a0Develops documents using applicable tools, guidelines, and templates.Works to develop and implement opportunity response plans, ie. activities, deliverables, owners, milestones, etc. Work Scope (Duties & Responsibilities): Responsible for developing original writing for proposal sections (e.g., Past Performance and Resumes) Specific tasks include authoring text, reviewing, proofing and critiquing the work of others, coordinating production between various contributors\/authors, editing\/proofreading, word processing, creating graphics, and document formatting Coordinates production of response documents (printing, copying, binding, shipping) Promotes use of our proposal collaboration tool (SharePoint) and is responsible for managing its content Updates\/maintains both proposal and non-opportunity specific \/ additional sales qualification and reference materials (including r\u00e9sum\u00e9s, project descriptions and organization charts) in designated information management systems\u00a0 Ensures adherence to standards and templates to present a consistent appearance\/style in compliance with our corporate identity Ensures overall proposal compliance in accordance with Request for Proposal (RFP) instructions Coordinates with dedicated graphics personnel Coordinates and tracks proposal inputs from multiple teammate companies May provide graphics and desktop publishing support May work with the Inside Sales Manager (ISM) to track and monitor bid and proposal (B&P) budget for selected pursuits May provide assistance to sales management for the preparation of weekly\/monthly sales reports Performs other duties as assigned, i.e.) office administrative functions Works independently to create fully integrated, complex documents that are publication ready Must meet strict deadlines, ensure accuracy of information, and protect sensitive and company confidential information Travel may be required *This list is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities. Qualifications Education and Experience:\u00a0 Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 8 years of progressive and relevant experience; or MS degree and 7 years of progressive and relevant experience; or PhD degree and 2 years of progressive and relevant experience required. Knowledge, skills & abilities required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to type proficiently.\u00a0 Demonstrated ability to write, edit, proof, and desktop publish clear, logical documents on a variety of technical and non-technical documents. Requires strong organizational and project management \/ coordination skills. Requires strong working knowledge of MS Office\u2122 and Adobe Creative Suite, including proficiency in document preparation. Desktop publishing experience highly desired along with experience using graphics and photo editing software. Knowledge of intranet technology and software desired. This position requires a true team player who performs well under pressure in a fast paced environment and is able to work on several tasks at one time. Must be a self-starter who is well organized, flexible, and pays strict attention to details. Must possess understanding of our overall company resources and capabilities, ability to protect sensitive and company-confidential information, ability to work under pressure managing multiple tasks with tight deadlines, be able to work in a team environment, and must be able to work extended hours on a regular basis as needed and travel to support other offices as required. Must have an active Secret security clearance at time of hire.\u00a0 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Work Environment Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates. Needs to be able to work well with co-workers, customer, and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. Work site is located in Ft Huachuca, AZ. Equipment and Machines Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required. Ability to operate rental cars while TDY. Attendance Regular hours will be between Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements Other Essential Functions Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer\u2019s locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.
