To reach diverse audiences and increase awareness and understanding of the Dell Medical School, the Web Publisher will manage, coordinate and update content for the school's web and digital properties and channels under the supervision of the Digital Strategy Manager.
Work with faculty, staff and other internal clients to execute a maintenance plan for updating the medical school's multiple digital properties; audit digital properties for redundant, outdated or trivial content. Respond to requests for maintenance submitted via intake processes, identifying solutions, tracking job completion and communicating with requestors. Create and send HTML email, and train internal clients in the use of HTML email tools. Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, resolving technical challenges in displaying content. Maintain brand and style standards across all digital properties. Report on digital metrics to team members, stakeholders and other interested parties.
Other related functions as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in communications, computer science, information technology, computer/graphic design or human-computer interaction; a related field; or equivalent work experience. Two years relevant experience. One year of experience in web publishing protocols, including working with HTML, CSS, Craft, Drupal, Wordpress or other CMS platforms. One year of experience in creating HTML email, including working with tools such as Eloqua, MailChimp, Litmus or other email marketing software. Strong written and oral communication skills. Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator or other related visual design tools. Knowledge of user experience and user interface design. Strong interpersonal skills. Keen attention to detail. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas ( TRS ), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
