The ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, execute them under pressure and complete assignments on time is essential. We prefer a college degree, but it is not a deal breaker. Relevant experience is the most important attribute.
Our magazine and online digital products are expanding quickly and the Advertising Sales Manager position is crucial. You will have responsibility for growing print and web advertising revenue and end-to-end responsibility for all phases of the advertising sales process, including direct-to-client and agency contacts. The Advertising Sales Manager must be proactive and innovative and consistently produce revenue to meet and exceed aggressive targets.
This is an opportunity to grow with the company as we expand and add more products. We are looking for a very motivated individual. The successful candidate must hit the ground running, selling to an existing book of clients and new business. We are looking for a team player who is ready to make a long-term commitment to the company. Because of that, there could be an opportunity for equity in the company for the right person once the relationship is established.
Primary Responsibilities
Sell print magazine ads, digital ads, event registrations, and other products.
Develop and implement advertising strategy and advertising budgets (both revenue and expense).
Work closely with the publisher to develop products in response to advertiser demand.
The Fine Print
The position is for approximately 16 hours per week (prefer four 4-hour days) but you have some flexibility in your schedule.
Work from your location with one in-person meeting with publisher per week.
Must have access to a car with insurance and be available to meet with clients as needed.
Must have a computer with internet access.
Will be given company phone for use for sales calls only.
