Job Description
Production Expediter Summary:
Assists in managing program workflows to insure delivery criteria are met and aging orders stay within program SLA requirements. Assist in on boarding of new programs
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with Supervisors and staff to insure management of aging program orders.
Runs aging reports and locates oldest orders.
Takes steps to accelerate the production of aging orders
Train seasonal expeditors on aging order management techniques.
Elevate upsets and delays to management.
Assist area leads in managing their WIP queues.
This position has no direct reports, however, the Expeditor has a measure of authority in all production areas, only superseded by the supervisor.
The position provides leadership and coaching for the seasonal expeditors, working with the supervisor to get the most value from this function.
During slow periods the Expeditor may be called upon to perform any number of other tasks, from report generation to machine operation.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months prior experience and/or training in an Expeditor position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills: Strong knowledge working with Email, word processing. Excel and DPCS

Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Work Environment: Production Floor. Work near moving mechanical parts. Hearing protection required.
Physical Demands: Periods of standing, walking, sitting and typing. Required to lift up to 25lbs.
