We have an Associate level opportunity for a full-time position in our Dubuque, IA office to join our Global Technology Solutions team. This opportunity is intended for candidates interested in developing their skills with Systems Administration and automation.
Your contribution to the team includes:
Create automation scripts to deploy and maintain a large environment of diverse systems
Work in a flexible, collaborative environment to provide technology solutions to our customers
Partner across internal teams to drive successful completion of a variety of assigned tasks
Interface with Architects, Engineers, DBA's, and other GTS staff to support all project activities
Evaluate current processes and procedure to identify areas that require improvement
Ensure delivered solutions align with enterprise product and implementation standards What you'll need to be successful:
Completed Bachelor or Associate degree in Computer Science / Information Systems / Engineering
Minimum of 1 year experience using Puppet to automate server builds and software installation.
Familiar with installation of operating systems such as Windows, Unix, and Solaris both physical and virtual environments.
Prefer knowledge of one or more: Perl, Python, Ruby, Puppet, Chef, Ansible
Understanding of virtualization technologies such as Dynamic System Domains, LDoms, Zones, and VMware, and configuring guest Oss
Understanding of the .Net framework and Windows development environment, including WCF, IIS, ASP.Net MVC, WMI, and applicable configurations is required; Understanding of IT infrastructure and components in a managed IP environment (VLANS, firewalls, load balancers, routers, switches)
Perform basic investigative, troubleshooting, and triage procedures as part of P1 escalation issues.
