Senior Editor Jobs
A senior editor position may be available with a media agency, news agency, ITES company or an online marketing agency. A senior editor is typically responsible for editing and proofreading the work performed by other editors, preparing training documents for the use of trainees, setting policies in the area of administration, keeping updated with various rules and regulations in the area of editing, proofreading the work of others, staying abreast with new rules and regulations in the industry, assisting the chief editor in both administrative as editing work, and performing other tasks assigned by the chief editor. A senior editor typically reports to the chief editor.
A senior editor should have an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree. Excellent academic credentials and strong grammar skills are essential. Prior experience in the field of editing may be advantageous.
