A copy editor is typically responsible for editing or proofreading the work performed by other people. A copy editor typically reports to the chief editor.
A copy editor should have a bachelor\'s degree or master\'s degree in journalism or mass communications. Excellent academic credentials are essential for a copy editor role. Excellent writing skills are essential for any copy editor role.
